Lamon & Stern was founded by Hollis M. Lamon in 1979 as Lamon-Callaway, Inc. then Michael J. Stern joined in 1991 and the name was changed to Lamon & Stern, Inc.   Lamon & Stern is a full service securities and FINRA registered brokerage firm dedicated to serving professional investors

Our team has an average of 22 years of experience in the brokerage industry.  We specialize in order execution in the institutional space by offering professional, timely and cost effective order execution.  Lamon & Stern provides a variety of executing platforms for our customers.  We are proud of the fact that over the years our business has grown through referrals from our existing clients.  We firmly believe that the brokerage business in these trying times is a service oriented business and that through our executing partners; we provide a superior and a unique product to our clients.

Lamon & Stern is an introducing broker/dealer with a correspondent network that allows execution from many executing broker dealers throughout the world.  Lamon & Stern serves as an introducing broker/dealer and has fully disclosed clearing relationships providing execution with the following:

  • Pershing, an affiliate of Bank of New York Mellon
  • Knight Capital Markets
  • Sanders Morris Harris

Lamon & Stern has several correspondent relationships that allow executing of trades that add value beyond simply the execution.  Lamon & Stern's brokerage clients may trade with any of the aforementioned brokers for credit.  All transactions will be consolidated on a single detailed monthly statement.

Lamon & Stern understands the special needs of institutional money managers in the current trading environment. Lamon & Stern's trading network allows institutional clients to place orders in the fast changing dynamics of today's market place with multiple trading desks and ECNs.
